KALYAN: The Manpada police in Dombivli have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 272 kilograms of ganja, price over Rs 27 lakh from their possession.
The arrested accused are recognized as Faisal Farookh Thakur, 21, and Atif Ansari, 32. Faisal hails from Mazgaon space in Mumbai and Atif hails from Bhiwandi space.
The arrested accused had introduced ganja from Odisha and had been planning to small drug peddlers in Mumbai and Thane district.
The Manpada police crew had obtained a tip-off that two alleged drug peddlers had been coming close to Umbarli space in Dombivli to ship Ganja, following which a crew was shaped.
The crew appearing on info intercepted an Innova automobile and nabbed two suspects and upon checking automobile discovered ganja from it and in addition eight cell phones from them.
Shekhar Bagade, senior police inspector of Manpada police station stated, “The first probe revealed that accused introduced Ganja from Odisha state they usually had been planning to promote it to small drug peddlers in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan-Dombivli space.”
